Reconstruction of non-uniform spectra with compressed sensing
In order to study larger and more complex proteins by NMR high-dimensional experiments (e.g. 4D) are needed. However, high-dimensional experiments are lengthy to record and the resolution in the indirect dimensions are almost always poor due to time restrictions on the number of increments that can be sampled with uniform sampling. The use of non-uniform sampling can overcome these limitations and sampling strategies can be employed to provide good signal-to-noise while maintaining good resolution. However, these NUS spectra can no longer be reconstructed using the Fourier transform. CambridgeCS employs the technique of compressed sensing to reconstruct these NUS spectra allowing spectra processing of high-dimensional spectra.
